Maintenance Technician I

About the role

Adient is looking for a Maintenance Technician I for its automotive seating plant in Warren, Michigan. The technician repairs and maintains machinery and electrical equipment on the production floor, including Allen Bradley programming and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and maintain motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical systems such as three-phase motors, start/stop circuits, AC/DC drives and electrical conduit
• Diagnose malfunctions by observing devices in operation and dismantle them to remove defective parts
• Make approved modifications to machinery to meet production needs, and repair or replace defective parts
• Lubricate and clean parts, then start the device to test its performance
• Maintain, install and repair electrical equipment
• Keep accurate maintenance and preventative maintenance records, and record revisions to equipment and tools
• Maintain 5S in the shop and work area
• Stop the production line immediately if a safety or quality issue appears

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance experience
• Skilled manufacturing maintenance experience required
• Experience supporting maintenance at a large production facility preferred
• Able to lift and/or carry 50 lbs

Required skills

• Good problem-solving and communication skills (verbal, listening and written)
• Allen Bradley programming and troubleshooting

The position covers the C-Crew shift: Friday and Saturday 6am-4:30pm, Sunday and Monday 6pm-4:30am. The primary location is Bridgewater Interiors II.
