Production Operator – Manufacturing Assembly

About the role

Moog is seeking a Production Operator to join its assembly team in Murphy, NC. You will work on electromechanical products, contributing to the build of rotors, stators, and complete motor assemblies while following detailed manufacturing documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical components, including rotor, stator, and motor sub‑assemblies.
• Operate machine strippers, hand tools, and equipment such as stator potting mixers, mold transfer presses, and heat‑sink attachment stations.
• Install lead‑wire pin connectors and apply varnish, glue, and potting compounds.
• Load, monitor, and troubleshoot automated machinery.
• Perform final motor/drive testing, packaging, and shipment preparation.
• Cross‑train on all production operations and maintain a clean work environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Mechanical aptitude with good hand dexterity and color vision.
• Ability to lift 20 lb frequently and up to 40 lb occasionally.
• Willingness to stand, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, and work overtime, including Saturdays.

Required skills

• Soldering (or ability to become certified).
• Operation of stripping machines, potting mixers, and mold transfer presses.
• Lead‑wire pin connector installation.
• Application of varnish, glue, and potting compounds.
• Heat‑sink attachment to circuit boards.
• Automated machinery monitoring.
