Production Operator – Diesel Fuel Systems

About the role

Join Bosch’s Kentwood, MI facility as a Production Operator supporting the precision manufacturing and re‑manufacturing of diesel fuel systems for the rail industry. Working on the 2nd or 3rd shift, you will help maintain high quality and efficiency standards that feed Bosch’s global supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machines for diesel fuel component manufacturing and re‑manufacturing.
• Perform final assembly, part sorting, tear‑down, washing and related tasks following process control documentation.
• Record daily production data and complete on‑line Statistical Process Control (SPC) charting.
• Conduct basic equipment maintenance, troubleshoot minor issues, and ensure machine functionality.
• Follow safety protocols, keep the workspace clean and organized, and support additional production tasks as directed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Availability for 2nd or 3rd shift and willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lb repeatedly (up to 20 times per hour) and communicate effectively in English.

Required skills

• Production machine operation.

• Computer literacy for data recording.

• Base hourly wage of $24.31 plus a $1.00 shift premium.
