Production Operator – Shift Manufacturing

About the role

Join Bosch's Kentwood, MI facility as a Production Operator, working on the precision manufacturing and re‑manufacturing of diesel fuel systems for the rail industry. You will support 2nd and 3rd shift production lines, helping to maintain high quality and efficiency standards that feed Bosch's global supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machines that build and re‑build diesel fuel components.
• Perform final assembly, part sorting, tear‑down, washing and other tasks following process documentation.
• Record daily production data and complete online Statistical Process Control charting.
• Conduct basic maintenance, troubleshoot minor equipment issues, and ensure machine functionality.
• Follow safety protocols, keep the workspace clean and organized, and support additional tasks as directed by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift, including voluntary overtime and Saturdays.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to excellence.
• English reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 lb repeatedly (up to 20 times per hour).

Required skills

• Statistical Process Control (SPC) charting.
• Machine operation for diesel fuel component production.
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment.
