Production Operator – 4x4 Shift Rotation

About the role

James Hardie is seeking motivated, dependable individuals to join its manufacturing team as Production Operators. The position works on a 4x4 rotation schedule, covering both day (6 am‑6 pm) and night (6 pm‑6 am) shifts, and offers a pathway to grow within a high‑performance, safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial‑scale equipment and machinery used to produce fiber cement products.
• Support the manufacturing of a variety of innovative products, following standard operating procedures.
• Communicate safety, quality, and mechanical concerns to team leads promptly.
• Perform equipment cleaning, wash‑downs, housekeeping, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Conduct product quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing or operating industrial equipment (preferred).
• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and commitment to a Zero Harm safety culture.
• Ability to learn quickly, work collaboratively, and adapt to a fast‑paced production environment.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 lb frequently and up to 50 lb occasionally, and navigate ladders and stairs.
