Production Operator 2 - B Shift - Cast Molding

About the role

The Production Operator 2 works on the B shift in a contact‑lens manufacturing environment. The role involves operating specialized cast‑molding and metrology equipment while following strict SOPs and GMP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and apply continuous‑improvement methods.
• Operate automated lathing, injection‑molding, and metrology equipment to meet production goals.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements (FDA, cGMP).
• Flexibly support other production areas and assist coordinators or technicians as needed.
• Participate in lean and Six Sigma projects and lead team activities.
• Work extended hours or mandatory overtime to achieve daily targets.

Required profile

• Good verbal and written English communication to read and apply SOPs.
• Ability to troubleshoot automated equipment and solve problems with attention to detail.
• Understanding of FDA regulations, cGMP, and the consequences of non‑compliance.
• Commitment to safety practices, attendance, and schedule flexibility.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lb.
