Production Maintenance Technician

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Production Maintenance Technician in Waukesha, WI, to respond to work orders, troubleshoot and provide preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial manufacturing systems. Typical hours are the AWS night shift (6:00 pm to 6:00 am), with overtime and shift variation depending on business needs. The pay range is $25.00 to $33.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to work orders, troubleshoot and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, PLC and CNC machinery, robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and coolant systems.
• Identify and correct safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to spot potential failures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment and perform quality control checks on products.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
• Operate production machines and tools, and keep accurate records of production processes and results.

Required profile

• Three to five years of experience performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work in an aerial or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot industrial equipment such as pumps, bearings, blowers, fans, gearboxes and air handlers.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check to receive a security badge; no sponsorship for U.S. work authorization is available.
• May be required to work various shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Physical requirements: regular lifting to 50 lbs, climbing ladders and stairs, and repetitive bending, squatting, kneeling and stretching; extensive walking through the plant.

Preferred qualifications

• Five years of experience performing maintenance on industrial manufacturing production equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
