Production Maintenance Electrician IV

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Production Maintenance Electrician IV for its facility operations and maintenance team in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The role works at a subject-matter-expert level, maintaining, troubleshooting, programming (CNC and PLC) and servicing facility and production equipment, including machine tools and critical-to-production equipment. It may involve collaboration with other technicians or subcontractors and mentoring less-skilled technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair facility, production and mechanical equipment
• Program, modify and interface with HMI devices, and interface with the onsite machine-tool SCADA and historian data
• Create automated control solutions and implement controls schemes
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of instrumentation, equipment and controls
• Perform preventive maintenance in the CMMS, create and modify procedures, and recommend reliability improvements
• Respond to emergencies, monitor the facility, and support Critical Environment workflows
• Help procure spare parts, document costs and record Critical Environment activities
• Follow safety rules such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout and PPE, and comply with codes and regulations

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• Five years of experience in electrical and mechanical machine tool service and repair in a heavy industrial setting, or equivalent education and experience
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a security access badge
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and stairs repeatedly, and work overtime, holidays and weekends
• Preferred: Associate degree in Industrial Technology or Industrial Electrical, BAS/BMS troubleshooting experience, HMI creation around historian data, and HVAC, fire protection and water system experience

Required skills

• Ladder logic and PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Wago, Wonderware, Honeywell, GE, Emerson, Siemens, Schneider Electric BAS)
• Profibus, PROFINET, SCADA, Ethernet and remote I/O
• Demonstrated computer fluency, including the full Microsoft product line
