Production Maintenance Technician III - AWS Nights

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Production Maintenance Technician III for its AWS nights shift in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial production systems such as pumps, motors, PLC and CNC machinery, robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and coolant systems. Typical hours are 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to work orders, troubleshoot and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Identify and correct safety-related issues and evaluate equipment independently to spot potential failures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
• Perform quality control checks on products and maintain accurate records of production processes and results.
• Operate production machines and tools and follow safety protocols.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of experience performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work in an aerial or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot industrial equipment such as pumps, bearings, blowers, fans, gearboxes and air handlers.
• Preferred: five years of maintenance experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check to receive a security badge; no sponsorship for U.S. work authorization is available.
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays and weekends, and to wear PPE such as steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves and hard hats.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs regularly, climb ladders and stairs, and walk extensively through the plant.
