Production Coordinator

About the role

Four Hands, a fast‑growing furniture designer and wholesaler based in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Production Coordinator to keep its manufacturing floor running smoothly. The role supports daily scheduling, order monitoring and cross‑functional communication to meet customer deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily production schedules based on fluctuating demand, order volume and deadlines.
• Communicate real‑time changes in prioritization to all relevant team members and departments.
• Monitor active work orders on the production floor, identifying and resolving stalled, delayed or blocked orders.
• Coordinate release and tracking of expedited work orders to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of customer products, lead times, promotions and fulfillment requirements.
• Proactively flag capacity constraints, material shortages or scheduling conflicts to leadership.
• Identify process inefficiencies and suggest actionable continuous‑improvement solutions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in production coordination, operations, manufacturing, logistics or a related field (preferred).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Clear, confident communicator comfortable interfacing with all levels of the organization.
• Detail‑oriented problem‑solver with a proactive approach.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
