Product Steward Associate

About the role

The Product Steward Associate supports responsible innovation within 3M's Consumer Business Group, focusing on the Home Care Kitchen portfolio. You will work across R&D, manufacturing, quality, marketing, legal and corporate teams to ensure products are safe, compliant and sustainable.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day product stewardship support for the Home Care Kitchen portfolio, addressing regulatory, compliance and stewardship requirements throughout the product life cycle.
• Support human health, environmental and hard‑goods assessments to inform product design, risk management and sustainability goals.
• Monitor evolving regulatory and market requirements and communicate impacts and recommended actions to stakeholders.
• Incorporate stewardship considerations into product development, change management and launch processes.
• Respond to internal and customer inquiries related to EHS&R topics, regulated substances and applicable local, state, federal and global requirements.
• Share tools, best practices and insights across corporate and business teams to strengthen product stewardship capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited institution AND at least 1 year of product stewardship, regulatory or EHS experience, OR a High School Diploma AND at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Additional preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry; experience with 3M systems and business processes.
