Product Marketing IV – Service & Spares Portfolio

About the role

Applied Materials is looking for a Product Marketing IV to own and manage the Service & Spares product portfolio, drive end‑to‑end Configure‑Price‑Quote (CPQ) workflows, and improve quote velocity for our high‑scale service business.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the Service & Spares product portfolio, including offerings, options, and configuration structures.
• Drive end‑to‑end CPQ workflows to increase quote speed and enable efficient quoting.
• Define, maintain, and simplify product configuration rules and constraints.
• Identify recurring configuration and quoting issues and implement workflow improvements.
• Partner with Sales and Business Development to support accurate product configuration.
• Analyze quote data to uncover root causes of delays and translate business pain points into CPQ requirements.
• Establish and track metrics such as quote cycle time, deal cycle time, and exception rates.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics to enable data‑driven decision making.
• Ensure accuracy of product marketing data, reports, and dashboards.
• Support deployment readiness through training, job aids, and workflow guidance for Sales.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally across the Opportunity‑to‑Cash process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or data science (master’s in marketing a plus).
• Minimum 5 years experience in product portfolio management, preferably with service recurring revenue.
• 5‑10 years experience with CPQ product functionality and best practices.
• Strong understanding of a high‑scale service business (~$5B revenue) and ability to drive efficiency through data insights.
• Proven leadership of cross‑functional initiatives and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
