Product Manager - Payments

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Product Manager for its payments product line. The role delivers business value to drive sales, improve efficiency and raise customer satisfaction by defining product strategy, working with developers, designers and business partners, and supporting cross-functional product teams. It is located in Cumberland, Pennsylvania.

Key responsibilities

• Strategy and planning (about 40%): turn customer and associate needs into product strategy, set goals and metrics, run end-user research to define MVP and user stories, partner with Finance on business plans, and monitor the competitive landscape and industry innovations.
• Delivery and execution (about 30%): align the product with priorities, document and review quality and change control standards, create, prioritize and accept user stories, take part in standups, iteration planning, demos and retrospectives, and explain technical concepts simply to stakeholders.
• People (about 30%): collaborate with engineering and UX designers, advocate for modern software development practices, manage stakeholder expectations and communicate the long-term product strategy.

Required profile

• Aged 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Education: high school diploma or GED; no additional education required.
• Preferred: 1-3 years of relevant experience, including as a Product Manager in a modern software development environment, and experience with Agile, XP, user research and competitive analysis.

Required skills

• Modern software product management and Agile methodologies, including XP principles such as paired programming, test-driven development and continuous deployment.
• Creating, prioritizing and accepting user stories.
• Communicating with and influencing functional and technical team members at all levels.
