Product Engineer, New Products

About the role

Replit is building an agentic software creation platform that lets anyone build applications using natural language. As a Product Engineer you will turn emerging ideas into polished, user‑facing products that combine the flexibility of code with the accessibility of visual editors.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end product experiences from concept through design, implementation, launch, measurement and iteration.
• Invent and build intuitive interfaces for AI‑generated presentations, data applications and visual artifacts.
• Deliver high‑quality frontend experiences covering interaction design, typography, layout, motion, accessibility and performance.
• Partner directly with users, product, design and AI engineers to test ideas and turn feedback into better products.
• Create reusable editing, visualization and collaboration primitives that accelerate future Replit products.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping user‑facing products.
• Strong product judgment and visual taste, able to balance usability, speed, polish and maintainability.
• Comfort working across the full stack, including Node.js, APIs, Postgres and production debugging.

Required skills

• Deep experience with TypeScript, React, HTML and CSS.
• Knowledge of browser performance, application state, responsive design and accessibility.
• Familiarity with Node.js, REST APIs and PostgreSQL.
