Procurement Specialist

About the role

CACI is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing, supplier relationships and strategic sourcing at its Rochester, NY facility. The position is full time, regular, with no minimum clearance required to start and up to 10% local travel.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams to anticipate and fulfill procurement needs.
• Review requisitions, prepare bid requests and expedite delivery of goods to users.
• Prepare procurement reports for management briefings and maintain procurement records in the system of record, including items or services purchased, costs and delivery.
• Streamline and optimize procurement processes through best practices and continuous improvement, ensuring timely delivery and compliance.
• Solve complex procurement issues proactively and set an example of effective decision-making.
• Receive and review purchase requests, gather and evaluate quotes and seek necessary approvals.
• Drive a culture of accountability, integrity and innovation within the procurement team.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent relevant experience.
• Analytical mindset to evaluate supplier performance, costs and risks, using data to inform strategic decisions and mentor team members.
• Ability to make independent, strategic decisions and manage high-pressure situations.
• Forward-thinking approach to anticipating and mitigating procurement delays.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical and communication skills to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Experience selecting, ordering and authorizing payment for materials.
• Competency with data analysis and use of MS tools.
• Desired: experience with the InFor ERP system or similar.
