Material Handler

About the role

CACI is hiring a full-time Material Handler in Rochester to ensure the accurate and efficient flow of materials to and from production. The role keeps materials organized, traceable and ready for production schedules, while maintaining inventory accuracy and processing material transactions in the ERP system. About 10% local travel may be required.

Key responsibilities

• Handle materials needed for production, following procedures for movement, storage and tracking.
• Conduct cycle counts and help reconcile inventory to keep stock levels accurate.
• Move raw materials, components, work-in-process and finished goods safely using approved equipment.
• Receive incoming materials by unloading shipments, verifying quantities and checking for damage or specification compliance.
• Pick, pack, label and stage outbound shipments according to shipping requirements.
• Keep records of material transactions, including lot numbers, serial numbers and inventory adjustments.
• Work with procurement, production and quality teams to resolve material issues.
• Keep warehouse and production storage areas clean, organized and clearly labeled.
• Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts if certified, and follow all safety procedures.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot data errors.
• Excellent typing accuracy and data entry skills.
• Understanding of basic business processes related to sales, inventory, purchasing and accounting.
• Familiarity with ERP system navigation and data entry.
• Desired: Associate's degree and experience with INFOR.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis.
• Data entry and ERP navigation.
