Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist leads strategic sourcing initiatives to secure sustainable, cost‑effective, and reliable materials and services for Kuraray’s businesses. This hybrid role combines office collaboration (2 days) with remote work (3 days) to support cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that drive continuous improvement and cost savings.
• Conduct market analysis to monitor trends, cost drivers, and labor rates influencing sourcing decisions.
• Provide early procurement involvement in key projects to embed sourcing considerations from the start.
• Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers that meet Kuraray’s standards.
• Represent Kuraray in negotiations and manage supplier contracts.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive process improvements for long‑term efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier qualification, and contract management.
• Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and cost drivers.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse business teams and influence decision‑making.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
