About the role
The Procurement Manager leads the campus procurement team, overseeing purchasing of commodities and services while ensuring compliance with state procurement laws and university policies. This role collaborates with multiple campus units and supports the Director in shaping internal procedures and policies.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise procurement staff, set goals, provide training, and promote a collaborative environment.
- Ensure adherence to procurement laws, regulations, internal controls, and state‑level contracts.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and public access compliance.
- Participate in Workday process improvements and support university personnel and suppliers.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
- At least four years of purchasing experience and two years of supervisory experience.
- Five years of knowledge of Arkansas state procurement laws and policies.
- Experience working in a higher‑education environment (preferred).
Required skills
- Workday procurement module proficiency.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
