Procurement and Sourcing Consultant

About the role

The Procurement and Sourcing Consultant works closely with clients at all seniority levels to uncover insights, tailor solutions, and drive procurement and supply‑chain performance. This role is central to the problem‑solving engine, translating client needs into actionable strategies across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyze the latest procurement and sourcing insights for client engagements.
• Collaborate with clients to design and implement tailored procurement solutions.
• Support vendors and manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal performance.
• Travel up to 80% of the time to work on‑site with client teams.
• Maintain detailed documentation and communication of project outcomes.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• 2+ years of corporate experience, preferably in professional services with exposure to supply chain, procurement, operations, or strategy.
• Experience in sourcing and vendor management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; three years of progressive experience may substitute for each year of education.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Willingness to be based in Chicago, IL and travel extensively.
