About the role
Part‑time Forklift Operator position at R+L Carriers’ Chicago service center. Operate a forklift to move freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock.
Key responsibilities
- Move various types of freight safely in and out of trailers.
- Operate a forklift on a roofed dock without climate control.
- Read and follow shipping manifests.
- Interact with computer displays to track loads.
Required profile
- Ability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.
- Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Prior forklift experience, preferably in a fast‑paced setting.
- Some LTL (less‑than‑truckload) experience is preferred.
Required skills
- Forklift operation.
- Computer system navigation.
