Process Engineer – Remanufacturing

About the role

The GFTX Remanufacturing organization is looking for a Process Engineer to design, implement, and optimise production methodologies for high‑voltage battery remanufacturing. You will drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, reduce waste, and ensure processes meet world‑class quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional teams to develop process flows, control plans, work instructions, and tool qualification procedures.
• Analyse and optimise production processes to maximise OEE, safety, and quality.
• Champion continuous‑improvement projects targeting yield, capacity and cost reductions.
• Collaborate daily with maintenance and equipment engineering to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Lead non‑conforming material (NCM) activities, including line fall‑out analysis and failure documentation.
• Monitor and reduce process variation using SPC and MSA, and audit processes for compliance.
• Develop expertise in remanufacturing layouts, material flow, waste reduction and ergonomics using Lean principles.
• Create data‑driven tools and visualisations with MySQL, Python, R, JMP, Minitab, Tableau and Ignition.
• Support product transition from concept to pilot line and mass production, maintaining FMEAs, control plans and ECOs.
• Integrate and sustain MES to improve traceability and performance.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in high‑volume automation or electromechanical production systems.
• Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven track record of process development and OEE improvement.
• Strong understanding of BOM, MES and specification management.
