Technical Buyer – Medical Device Procurement

About the role

Enovis is seeking a Technical Buyer to lead procurement and planning for raw materials, components, and services used in reconstructive hip, knee, and shoulder implants. The role combines strategic sourcing, supplier management, and compliance oversight to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of high‑quality medical device parts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Sourcing Team in developing and executing purchasing strategies for raw materials, components, and services.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
• Identify and qualify suppliers that meet Enovis’ innovation and compliance standards.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure reliability, cost‑efficiency, and on‑time delivery.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with FDA regulations and internal quality requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and support Quality in conducting audits.
• Partner with operations, R&D, finance, and other functions to support product development and launch timelines.
• Develop and track KPIs, cost‑savings, and supplier performance metrics using ERP systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in medical‑device manufacturing or high‑tech industries.
• Travel requirement of up to 25%.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, ISO, and healthcare compliance standards.
• Desired certifications: CPSM or CPM.
• Familiarity with orthopedic implant materials (e.g., titanium, cobalt‑chrome alloys).
