Additive Manufacturing Technician (SLS & EBM)

About the role

Enovis is seeking a skilled Additive Manufacturing Technician with hands‑on experience in Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and Electron Beam Melting (EBM) to support production of orthopedic and implantable medical devices. The role ensures consistent part quality, regulatory compliance, and timely material availability.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor SLS systems (e.g., EOS P110) and prepare build files using EOSPRINT.
• Handle powder preparation, sieving, blending, and material refresh management.
• Conduct depowdering, post‑processing, and inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
• Operate EBM systems (e.g., Arcam EBM Q10plus), manage titanium powder under controlled environments, and perform machine setup and beam calibration.
• Support heat‑treatment, HIP coordination, and powder recovery/recycling procedures.
• Maintain build logs, material traceability, and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
• Identify and implement process improvements following continuous improvement principles.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with SLS and/or EBM systems.
• Experience handling metal powders, especially titanium alloys.
• Strong documentation skills in regulated manufacturing environments (FDA, ISO 13485).
• Effective communication and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.
