Process Assurance Engineer - Electric Propulsion

About the role

Nidec Aerospace, a joint venture between Nidec and Embraer, is looking for a Process Assurance Engineer to join its team designing electric propulsion systems for battery-powered aircraft. The engineer defines product development processes for system, hardware and software in line with aeronautical regulations, trains product engineers, runs internal audits and supports customer and authority audits, working in a cross-functional team.

Key responsibilities

• Define the system development process and documentation in accordance with ARP-4754A
• Define the electronic hardware development process and documentation in accordance with DO-254
• Define the software development process and documentation in accordance with DO-178C and DO-331
• Define cyber security related processes
• Analyze and approve development process documents supplied by hardware, firmware and software suppliers
• Train the team on process assurance standards and development processes
• Select, set up and run administrative activities for requirements management tools, and train engineering teams on them
• Perform internal audits and support external audits from customers and authorities

Required profile

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering or a related field
• 5 years of experience in motor control / modelling
• Willingness to work with and travel to domestic and international design and manufacturing locations when necessary
