Pro Experience Manager

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Pro Experience Manager (Pro XM) in Champaign, Illinois. The Pro XM is a member of the store leadership team who oversees store standards such as customer service, department readiness and operational processes. Working with the in-store Pro team, the role increases sales, loyalty and Pro Xtra signups while ensuring fast, accurate service, safe opening and closing, and on-time, complete deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Service leadership: model service standards, coach the team in real time, keep the Pro area stocked and ready, validate will calls and deliveries, resolve customer concerns and reward good service.
• People: help recruit and interview, keep Pro team training current, coach and observe performance, maintain development plans, support "Voice of the Associate" initiatives and monitor staffing and attendance.
• Safety: enforce hazmat procedures and safety SOPs, correct unsafe behavior, verify safety checklists, guide PPE use and keep aisles clear.
• Manager on duty: open and close the store according to security SOPs, lead store kickoff meetings, run hand-offs with the previous MOD and partner with the Store Manager and ASMs.

Required profile

• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and overtime.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States.
• 1 year of relevant work experience, including managing people and retail operations; preferred: 2+ years and 1+ year of leadership experience, preferably in big-box retail.
• High school diploma or GED; knowledge of the home improvement industry preferred.
• Intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing and lifting material or equipment.
