PRN Registered Nurse – Orthopaedic Outpatient Clinics

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient‑centered care in the UAMS Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Outpatient Clinics serving Northwest Arkansas. This PRN position emphasizes excellence, compassion, and evidence‑based practice while collaborating with providers, patients, and families.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, triage, and coordination of appointments.
• Facilitate transitions of care, obtain medical clearances, and educate patients on complex orthopaedic and sports‑medicine conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized health plans in partnership with patients, families, and providers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless clinic operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Associate’s, Diploma, or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Valid Registered Nursing license and minimum one (1) year of RN experience.
• Basic computer proficiency and strong communication skills.
• Current BLS certification.

Required skills

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling.
