Registered Nurse – Apheresis

About the role

The Apheresis Clinic at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences provides advanced apheresis procedures, research, and education. As a Registered Nurse you will monitor and care for patients undergoing hematopoietic progenitor cell collection, therapeutic plasma exchange, photopheresis, and cellular reductions. You will deliver direct patient care to both inpatient and outpatient populations with diverse medical conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and provide nursing care during hematopoietic progenitor cell collection and therapeutic plasma exchanges.
• Perform and assist with photopheresis, white‑blood‑cell reduction, and platelet reduction procedures.
• Deliver direct patient care to inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring safety and comfort.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, BSN or MSN) with a valid RN license.
• Minimum of one year of registered nursing experience.
• Preferred: BSN with RNBLS certification and experience in critical care, myeloma, or dialysis.
• Preferred: Experience handling indwelling ports and catheters.

Required skills
