PRN Registered Nurse – Orthopaedic Outpatient Clinics

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care and coordination for the UAMS Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Outpatient Clinics serving Northwest Arkansas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform triage, direct patient care, and collaborate with providers, patients, and families.
• Facilitate appointments, coordinate transitions of care, and obtain medical clearances.
• Provide education on complex orthopaedic and sports‑medicine conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized health plans with patients and families.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Associate’s, Diploma or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current, valid Registered Nursing license.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.
• Basic computer proficiency and effective communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and strong work ethic.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Basic computer skills.
