PRN Physical Therapist

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a PRN (as-needed) Physical Therapist for its Redmond facility in Georgia. The role is day-shift based and involves delivering patient care, supervising therapy assistants and aides, and supporting community outreach. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain clinical knowledge and use evidence-based practices, and act as a clinical instructor
• Perform evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards
• Establish, implement and adapt individualized treatment plans, including goals, activities and frequency
• Document care accurately, completely and on time, and charge patients accurately and legibly
• Identify the need for patient and caregiver education, including discharge recommendations, and discharge patients when maximum benefit is achieved or per standards and payer guidelines
• Oversee the care provided by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides
• Support community marketing and public awareness through events, lectures and other uses of clinical expertise
• Take part in performance improvement activities and departmental quality standards, and adjust work hours to patient needs

Required profile

• Doctorate preferred; education must meet the licensing or certification standards of the relevant body
• Conversational English reading, writing and speaking
• Effective communication with patients, staff, physicians, nurses and administrators
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required
• Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist - Temporary (PT-TEMP) license required
