PRN Group Therapist

About the role

Connections Wellness Group offers mental health services including Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). It is hiring a PRN Group Therapist (Group Therapist I) to facilitate groups and support patients, based virtually but requiring residence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The position reports to the Executive Director of Virtual Services and pays $32.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate psychoeducational groups and process groups
• Complete treatment plans and updates
• Engage actively with a dynamic treatment team
• Help develop and implement a holistic, evidence-based curriculum that addresses patient symptoms and builds skills for long-term wellness

Required profile

• Master's degree in social work, counseling or an equivalent field
• Current unencumbered clinical license (LPC, LPC-A, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMFT-A, LCDC) per state of practice guidelines
• Experience supporting individuals with mental health and substance use disorders, including dual diagnosis populations
• Background across higher levels of care, including inpatient, residential, PHP and IOP settings
• Knowledge of and adherence to ethical guidelines and HIPAA, mandated reporting and other compliance regulations; employees must maintain professional liability insurance
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a national background check

PRN employees must update their availability on the PRN calendar, accept at least three offered shifts per quarter, respond to coverage requests within 48 hours and attend all training and in-services.
