Clinical Manager - Per Diem

About the role

AMN Healthcare is hiring a Clinical Manager on a per diem basis. This is a qualified, licensed healthcare professional who leads travel staff and works with AMN team members across staffing divisions serving a diverse client base nationwide. The role focuses on talent acquisition, engagement, development and retention of healthcare professionals, and on advocating for their well-being. It is a Per Diem W2 position based in Dallas.

Key responsibilities

• Lead workgroups for Managed Services Provider account implementations and ensure standard processes are communicated clearly.
• Present reasons for improving client processes to boost service delivery, cut costs and reduce risk.
• Coordinate with the Sales division on client and clinician situations.
• Provide primary clinical support to assigned clients, including Associate Vendors, by engaging facility key contacts.
• Respond urgently to customer concerns that could jeopardize an assignment, working with sales, operations and partners.
• Troubleshoot assignment issues and investigate situations with clinicians, clients and internal departments.
• Oversee performance evaluations and recognize high-performing clinicians.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an active license.
• Registered Nurse experience (travel nurse preferred).
• Direct supervisory or management experience.
• Staffing experience.
• Open to traveling and to both onsite and remote work; available for training before assignments (about 10-15 hours total) and on call in August, September, October and November.
• Willingness to work up to 12 consecutive days including nights and weekends when paired for an assignment.

Required skills

• Leadership and effective communication.
• Knowledge of internal AMN policies and facility, state, federal and accreditation standards.
• Ability to use standard office equipment and keyboards.

The pay rate is $60-$70, depending on experience, training, education and location.
