Private Client Advisor

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring a Private Client Advisor in San Francisco. As part of the Client Advisory team, you will analyse client exposures, loss experience and current coverages and recommend products and services tailored to their needs. Success is measured by client retention and new business through referrals and expanded client programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client exposures, loss experience and current coverages and recommend the best products and services
• Present accurate market data from reliable sources and help clients navigate complex risks
• Provide proactive day-to-day client service in person, by phone or by email
• Gather information on risk management needs and financial loss tolerance, then evaluate and propose solutions
• Create and present renewal proposals and conduct annual Client Advisory reviews
• Negotiate with multiple insurance carriers to offer comprehensive coverage options while complying with industry laws and regulations

Required profile

• 2+ years of personal lines insurance experience with high net worth clientele
• Property & Casualty (P&C) license
• Client service orientation with a balance of managing expectations
• Willingness to travel for client and company meetings as needed
• Bachelor's degree and professional designations (e.g. CPCU, CIC, CPRIA) are a plus but not required
• Experience with luxury carriers such as AIG, Chubb and PURE is a plus
