Private Client Advisor

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring a Private Client Advisor for its Private Client Services team in Miami. The advisor works with high-net-worth clients, understanding their exposures and loss experiences to recommend the right products and services, and presents accurate market data to help them navigate complex risks. Success is measured by client retention, and growth comes through referrals and expanded client programs.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze client exposures and loss experiences to understand their current coverages
• Recommend products and services that fit each client's needs
• Present accurate market data and advise on complex risks
• Anticipate client needs and answer questions in person, by phone or by email
• Gather information on risk management needs and financial loss tolerance to propose tailored solutions
• Create and present renewal proposals to existing clients and run annual Client Advisory reviews
• Negotiate with multiple insurance carriers to secure comprehensive coverage while complying with industry laws and regulations
• Grow the business through referrals and expanding client programs

Required profile

• 3+ years of personal lines insurance experience with high-net-worth clientele
• Property & Casualty (P&C) license
• Client service orientation with a balance of managing expectations
• Ability to travel for client and company meetings as needed

A bachelor's degree and professional designations such as CPCU, CIC or CPRIA are a plus, as is previous experience with luxury carriers such as AIG, Chubb and PURE.
