Private Banker – Affluent Client Management

About the role

The Private Banker is responsible for delivering a comprehensive wealth management experience to affluent clients in Columbus. You will collaborate with multiple product specialists to provide tailored banking, investment, and trust solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and close new business by cultivating relationships with professionals such as attorneys, accountants, and company officials.
• Collaborate across investment, mortgage, small‑business, trust, and lending teams to present full‑service solutions.
• Develop and maintain a high community profile, leveraging the Northwest network for referrals.
• Prepare detailed financial profiles, analyze client needs, and propose appropriate products and services.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with FINRA/SEC regulations and Northwest policies.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of relevant private banking or wealth management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree; finance‑related degree preferred.
• Strong relationship‑building and sales skills with a proven track record of meeting production targets.
• Ability to analyze financial data and present investment strategies clearly.

Required skills

• Series 7, Series 63, Series 65 and/or Series 66 licenses (state‑specific).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and banking software tools.
• Knowledge of securities, mutual funds, stocks, bonds, custodial accounts, and financial planning concepts.
