Principal Security Engineer - AI

About the role

sevenai is a foundational AI security company building an AI‑driven platform that automates detection, investigation, response, and threat hunting. As a Principal Security Engineer – AI you will decide where AI can reliably take over security operations and where human expertise remains essential.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AI cybersecurity defense work, including incident response strategy, detection engineering, automated response, threat hunting, threat research, and security automation.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to shape the platform roadmap and AI security solutions.
• Work directly with customers to understand their security posture and guide their AI security transformation.
• Build and automate realistic attack simulations, adversary emulation scenarios, and large‑scale security environments.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including SOC, Blue Team, Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting, or Incident Response.
• Deep understanding of modern security operations, attacker methodologies, and enterprise security architectures.
• Hands‑on coding experience with Python or similar languages.
• Experience collaborating directly with customers.

Required skills

• Python (or similar programming language).
• Experience with SOAR platforms and security automation frameworks.
