About the role
Atlassian is hiring a Principal ML System Engineer in its Rovo & AI Engineering organisation, working remotely. The role contributes to Rovo Chat, described as Atlassian's biggest bet and fastest-growing area, by bringing cutting-edge innovations to the product and building agent harnesses that improve quality, reliability and latency. The engineer leads other engineers from technical design to launch and collaborates with other teams and internal customers.
Required profile
- 7+ years of experience as a software developer
- Experience building customer-facing Gen AI applications at scale
- Experience pushing the state of the art to achieve breakthrough quality and reliability
- Deep understanding of the machine learning project lifecycle
- Experience leading and supporting senior engineers and working cross-functionally
What we offer
- Base pay for new hires depending on location: Zone A $209,700-$273,775, Zone B $188,730-$246,398, Zone C $174,051-$227,233
