Principal Investigator – Study Management

About the role

Clinvet South Dakota, a global veterinary CRO, is seeking a Principal Investigator to lead study management for preclinical and clinical animal health trials. The role ensures compliance with quality systems, animal care programs, and project timelines while supporting innovation and customer focus.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee protocol development, technical conduct, and organization of GCP studies from start to finish.
• Prepare, review, and approve clinical study protocols, data capture forms, IACUC protocols, and IBC assessments.
• Coordinate pre‑study meetings, provide technical guidance to study participants, and lead key clinical activities such as IVP administration and necropsies.
• Maintain communication with sponsors, QA, and subcontractors; support regulatory inspections and audits.
• Collaborate with the RTI Laboratory for timely sample submission and test completion.

Required profile

• PhD or MSc in life sciences, DVM, or BSc with at least 5 years of hands‑on clinical animal research experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead study teams, train staff, and manage study documentation and budgets.

Required skills

• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) methodology
• IACUC and IBC protocol preparation
• Clinical study protocol and data capture form development
• Biosafety, biosecurity, and zoonotic disease handling
• Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) authoring and revision
