About the role

This newly created Principal, Healthcare Economics position offers a high‑impact, individual‑contributor role within a fast‑growing, mission‑driven healthcare organization. You will work directly with executive leadership and help shape the company’s healthcare economics function.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the subject‑matter expert on healthcare economics, medical claims, and utilization analytics.
• Analyze claims data, utilization trends, and cost drivers to identify opportunities and influence business decisions.
• Partner with finance and executive teams as a strategic thought partner.
• Build analytical frameworks that connect complex healthcare data across multiple systems.
• Extract, analyze, and interpret healthcare data using SQL.
• Leverage AI and modern analytics tools to improve efficiency and deliver actionable insights.
• Help build and mature the organization’s healthcare economics capabilities as it scales.

Required profile

• Experience in healthcare economics, medical economics, healthcare analytics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of medical claims, utilization analysis, and healthcare cost drivers.
• Consulting mindset with the ability to work independently and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate data into business recommendations.

Required skills

• SQL proficiency.

• Base salary $150,000–$170,000 per year.
