Principal Data Analyst – Revenue Cycle (Remote)

About the role

Providence is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to lead Revenue Cycle analytics for its remote analytics team. The senior professional will design, implement and manage data solutions that drive financial performance across multiple states. The position is fully remote, with candidates required to live within 65 miles of select locations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain complex data models and interactive dashboards that monitor revenue cycle metrics.
• Extract, transform and analyze large datasets from Epic Clarity and other sources to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure analytical outputs are accurate and timely.
• Perform advanced SQL query development, data modeling and performance optimization for large relational databases.
• Provide actionable insights that support decision‑making and financial objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in data analysis, business intelligence or analytics with large, complex data sets.
• At least 4 years of proven expertise in advanced SQL development and optimization.
• 2+ years of experience working with Epic systems, specifically Epic Clarity for revenue cycle data.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (minimum 5 years).
