Principal Analog / Mixed-Signal Design Engineer

About the role

Bitdeer, a technology company focused on AI and Bitcoin mining infrastructure, is hiring a Principal Analog / Mixed-Signal Design Engineer in San Jose, CA. The role leads the design and verification of low-power mixed-signal circuits, including PLLs and power management units, and oversees layout and standard cell libraries for sub-10nm process nodes.

Key responsibilities

• Drive development of mixed-signal circuits such as PLLs, power management units and novel power clocking architectures to meet strict power and performance targets.
• Investigate and deploy energy recovery and charge-sharing techniques, and pioneer optimization strategies for analog and mixed-signal units.
• Direct characterization and maintenance of standard cell libraries with mixed-signal behavior, and oversee layout design to minimize parasitics and leakage in sub-10nm nodes.
• Run high-sigma OCV analysis using Bitdeer-specific libraries or industry-standard SPICE tools (HSPICE, Spectre) to ensure robust operation and high manufacturing yield.
• Spearhead design and optimization of advanced low-power mixed-signal circuits.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in mixed-signal and high-performance applications.
• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Physics, or equivalent expert-level experience.
• Proven expertise in analog/mixed-signal IC design and low-power design principles.
• History of leading complex projects and mentoring others.

Required skills

• EDA tools such as ICADV, Spectre, HSPICE and AMS.
• High-sigma OCV analysis and understanding of variability effects on advanced nodes.
• Ability to adapt to and use Bitdeer-specific tools.
