Primary Trainer

About the role

The Primary Trainer acts as a culture champion and educator, driving the Spirit Household Model of Care across Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Households. This role partners with interdisciplinary teams to ensure members experience dignity, autonomy, connection, and purpose.

Key responsibilities

• Model member‑centered care daily and serve as a visible example of the Spirit Household philosophy.
• Mentor and coach associates, strengthening confidence, presence, and authentic engagement with members.
• Continuously assess household practices and team dynamics, providing feedback and actionable guidance.
• Teach strong listening and communication skills to staff, families, guests, and vendors.
• Identify deviations from the care model and develop constructive, member‑focused solutions.
• Collaborate with Memory Care Guide and Assisted Living Wellness Director to reinforce training and best practices.
• Facilitate engaging training sessions for staff and families to sustain the Spirit Household Model of Care.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Passion for working with older adults and advancing member‑centered care.
• Ability to build trusting relationships at all organizational levels.
• Strong presentation skills that ensure learner comprehension and competency.
• Critical thinker who can adapt training to individualized member needs.
