Prescribing Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (1099 Contractor)

About the role

Lyra Clinical Associates is seeking board‑certified Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) or Physician Assistants (PA‑C) to join its mental‑health provider network as independent 1099 contractors in Carlisle, PA. The role involves delivering evidence‑based psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and follow‑up care through 30‑minute video intake appointments and ongoing virtual or in‑person visits.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental‑health medication management during 60‑minute intake and regular follow‑up appointments.
• Perform mental‑health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations, and longitudinal treatment planning.
• Develop patient‑centered treatment plans, document recommendations, and prescribe/manage psychiatric medications.
• Provide culturally responsive care to children, teens, and young adults from diverse backgrounds.
• Coordinate referrals to evidence‑based therapy and coaching services as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited Psychiatric‑Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program or an accredited PA program with certification through PANCE.
• Unrestricted state license and active DEA license (strong preference).
• Minimum two years of clinical practice, preferably with experience treating minors.
• Office space available for in‑person visits in Reading and ability to provide virtual care.
• Full‑time U.S. residency.
