Prescribing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - 1099 Contractor

About the role

Lyra Clinical Associates, which partners with Lyra Health, a mental health care provider, is hiring a 1099 contractor nurse practitioner (NP) or certified physician assistant (PA-C) in Scranton, Pennsylvania. You will provide evidence-based mental health care through live 30-minute video intake appointments and regular follow-ups, conducting psychiatric evaluations and managing medications. You will be contracted by Lyra Clinical Associates.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive mental health medication management via a 60-minute intake appointment and regular follow-ups
• Conduct mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations and longitudinal medication treatment
• Build patient-centered treatment plans, document recommendations, message patients and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Refer patients to evidence-based therapy and coaching services alongside your care
• Deliver culturally responsive care to children, teens and young adults

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited CCNE Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program, or an accredited ARC-PA program with PANCE certification (preference for a psychiatry certificate, fellowship or MD with a psychiatry concentration)
• Unrestricted state license and at least 2 years of practice
• Strong preference for an active DEA license
• Office space available to see clients in Scranton
• Ability to treat patients across a wide range of diagnoses, complexity and severity, with a preference for in-person options
• Full-time U.S. resident
