About the role

Jackson Hewitt is seeking entry‑level seasonal Tax Preparers to join its fast‑paced, collaborative teams across the United States. You will help individuals complete accurate federal and state tax returns while providing friendly, knowledgeable service.

Key responsibilities

• Guide clients through tax‑preparation questions and explain filing requirements.
• Prepare and complete year‑end, multi‑year and multi‑state tax forms.
• Provide IRS audit support and answer client inquiries.
• Submit electronic filings and deliver printed copies for client review and signature.
• Ensure all returns are filed accurately with the IRS and state agencies.

Required profile

• Entry‑level or seasonal candidate; no prior tax experience required.
• Willingness to obtain PTIN certification and complete tax‑training.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and customer‑service orientation.
