About the role

Join H&R Block as a Pre-Season Tax Professional and help clients navigate their tax needs during the busy pre‑season period. You will work directly with individuals and businesses, providing guidance, support, and a high‑quality client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients to gather necessary information.
• Increase client retention by delivering excellent service.
• Offer additional products and services to meet client needs.
• Support business‑to‑business sales activities to generate growth.
• Provide IRS audit support and attend audits when required.
• Continuously develop tax expertise through training and mentorship.
• Mentor and support teammates in daily tasks.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience completing individual tax returns.
• Knowledge of tax planning and audit support.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.
• Additional experience will be provided through on‑the‑job training.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Windows‑based computer system.
• Experience in a fast‑paced customer service environment.
• Flexibility to work in multiple locations and varying hours.
