Postdoctoral Research Associate – Immunology & Molecular Biology

About the role

The School of Engineering Medicine at Texas A&M University seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to advance translational research in immunology and molecular biology. The successful candidate will join interdisciplinary teams focused on innovative medical technologies and the development of next‑generation mouse models.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to high‑impact projects such as generation of novel Group 1 CD1‑transgenic C57BL/6 mice.
• Develop next‑generation human immune system mouse models.
• Functionally characterize carbohydrate‑specific T cells using TCR‑transgenic mouse models.
• Generate mice expressing TCRs specific for novel malaria antigens.
• Perform single‑cell RNA‑seq and ATAC‑seq analyses to elucidate immune responses.

Required profile

• PhD or MD/PhD in immunology, molecular and cancer biology, infectious diseases, or a closely related field.
• Experience with single‑cell analyses (scRNA‑seq, scATAC‑seq) and handling laboratory mice.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
