The School of Engineering Medicine at Texas A&M University seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate to advance artificial intelligence research applied to health and biomedical challenges. The role involves independent and collaborative projects that bridge engineering, medicine, and data science.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute AI research projects focused on medical and biomedical applications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop research proposals and support grant submissions.
• Produce high‑quality peer‑reviewed publications and contribute to conference papers.
• Maintain and clean datasets, and manage computational resources for large‑scale experiments.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong publication record in top‑tier AI conferences or journals.
• First‑author papers at venues such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, AAAI, KDD, or IJCAI.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Interest in translating AI methods into high‑impact medical research.
