Postdoctoral Fellow - RNA Biology

About the role

Jefferson Health, through Thomas Jefferson University, is hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher for its Computational Medical Center, in the lab of Dr. Kirino. The researcher conducts supervised research in RNA biology, focusing on the expression, biogenesis and function of short non-coding RNAs in diseases such as asthma, acute lung injury and infectious diseases. The work is done in close collaboration with the principal investigator and other team members.

Key responsibilities

• Design and perform experiments and maintain accurate records of project progress.
• Potentially develop, adapt and implement new research techniques and protocols.
• Formulate scientific hypotheses and design experiments to test them.
• Analyze experimental data.
• Prepare oral and written reports for the PI, contributing to manuscripts, grant proposals and presentations at local and national meetings.
