About the role
The University of Miami seeks a Postdoctoral Associate in Public Health Sciences to conduct applied research on the economic impact of substance use disorder interventions. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to generate evidence that informs treatment and prevention strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comparative economic evaluations of substance use disorder (SUD) interventions, including cost‑effectiveness and cost‑benefit analyses.
- Develop methods and tools for budget impact analyses applicable to SUD, HIV, and HCV treatment programs.
- Collaborate with clinical and implementation teams to identify relevant cost and outcome measures.
- Support economic data harmonization across multi‑site research projects, creating data dictionaries and codebooks.
- Prepare research reports, technical papers, and publications.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art economic evaluation methods and adhere to university policies.
Required profile
- Doctorate degree in Medicine (MD) or related field.
- No prior professional experience required.
- Strong learning agility, teamwork orientation, and clear written and verbal communication.
Required skills
- Proficiency with office software and relevant computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
