Postdoctoral Associate in Human Genetics

About the role

The University of Miami’s Department of Human Genetics is seeking a full‑time Postdoctoral Associate to join a research team focused on the integrator protein complex and its role in tumorigenesis. The position is based on the UHealth campus in Miami, Florida and offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge cancer‑therapy research.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research on the integrator protein complex, including validation of INTS11 as a therapeutic target.
• Design and execute experiments, develop analytical models, and assess feasibility of scientific approaches.
• Prepare research reports, technical manuscripts, and conference presentations for publication.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art principles and methodologies in human genetics and cancer biology.
• Adhere to university policies, safeguard assets, and support the department’s strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., genetics, molecular biology, biomedical sciences).
• No prior postdoctoral experience required.
• Strong ability to collect, organize, and analyze complex data sets.
• Proven problem‑solving skills and sound judgment in scientific decision‑making.
